Hello, my name is Roger Robinson and I make music,words, performances, recordings and combinations of these things. My short stories and poems ( Adventures in 3D, Suitcase) have been read internationally at sites such as the Helsinki Museum of Modern Art and at the New Jersey Performance Arts Center. Me and my band The Easy Rockers were presented at the 2005 Sonar Festival in Barcelona. I participated in in the British Festival Of Visual Theatre with my one man shows(Letter from My Father's Brother, Prohibition and Shadow Boxer) created with support from Apples and Snakes and the London Arts Board. My collaborations with bands such as Attica Blues and The Bug have been presented at venues such as the Institute of Contemporary Art in London, Crossing Borders in Amsterdam, Cargo London and Jazz Cafe London. My debut album(Illclectica) was released in May 2005 by Altered Vibes recordings, with the Remix EP coming out in 2006 containing innovative mixes from some of the best producers around: Dobie, Drew Horley, Jtodd and Elmore Judd. My debut poetry collection(Suitcase) was released in March 2005. I was also chosen by Decibel as one of 50 writers who have influenced the black-British writing canon over the past 50 years.
