From that moment the Reggae music has been the source of teaching and inspiration that must be cultivated day by day ..... To the time of the school he remembers: "I was not a student model, I preferred the friends to the streets, listen to the music, reggae obviously, to smoke the first ones "spliffs", to explore the life, compared me, at times also harshly, in a city of the South Italy that doesn't have very to offer. Thanks to Jah however, we had the possibility to direct our life on other objectives, on values that it transmitted us the music that we listened, more and more attentively." And meanwhile Micky takes little by little confidence with the music, with the Instruments, playing the songs of Marley and other artists. The musical run and that spiritual are grown of equal footstep. It starts to risk him with the sing, and to study more attentively the lyrics of Marley, and he realizes that in his words very thick he speaks of the Bible, or of Haile Selassie I. That has been the passage that has pushed him to cultivate the Rastafari faith. Is by now the '95, and he starts to delineate a structure of the band from the name Jah children, (name that however it had brief life), that was: Micky "SoulJahr" Belvito (voice and rhythm gtr), Pino "Mosyah" Loy (lead gtr), Giovanni Cavaliere (bass), Luca "Wadada" Ferrara (drum) and Massimo Caso (keyboards). In the first months of the '96 were added to the band Ivan Capuano (choirs) and, in the same year, the band took the name DREAD INA BABYLON! This way' some for time the group, that has added Nico Ciuffreda in the meantime (keyboards) and Federico Belvito (lead gtr), Micky’s brother, to know acquiring the first ones but many consents. To the beginning of the '98, the band starts to lose the first pieces, and to meet the first difficulties. The keyboardist are scarce, and hit of grace also Luca "Waadada" Ferrara (drum), and Ivan's departed for job. So also Micky, approves the situation of stalemate it decides to move himself to Rome. In fact the Roman experience is a lot of impact. Micky purchases greater experience in the circle Reggae and starts to devote himself to the creation of his songs, as Cerca le radici and Cala la notte, and to collaborate with some musicians of the Roman scene. Then arrives '99 and the DREAD INA BABYLON are: Micky (Voice and gtr) Pino (gtr) Giovanni (bass), a new entry to the drum Alex Lo Storto, the percussionist and singer Fabio Barbato, to the choirs Michele Tancredi and after varied attempts not succeeded, finally the keyboardist Giuseppe "Legend" Leccese and more keyboards Angelo "Babaprofessor" Caponi. The 8 enters study of recording for their first job entitled Dread ina babylon: Cala la notte, Cerca le radici, Reggae è, Danger in dub and Roots in dub. And so the boys find again around to Italy to promote the Cd, promotion that brings them from Rome to Sicily, (also having consents from France and England) up to the 2000 Rototom Sunsplash Alps (repeated experience also in the editions of the '01 and '02), to the tim tour 2001 (introduced by Red Ronnie) and to touch the most representative cities of the Italian Reggae circuit. In 2002, Micky starts to work to the recording of some new tunes and also see the collaboration of other musicians as the Bass player Jazz Nicola Scagliozzi, the known Singer Neapolitan Hobo, the Afro-american DJ Freddy G, at Saxophone Biagio Piemontese and the guitarist Ricky "Dread" Annolfi. The first single as “Micky Souljahr†is Jah Soldier, published in 2003, job that also sees Micky as producer for his own Label "Soul Records". The job with the Dread ina Babylon goes decreasing little by little, and Micky totally assembles him on his new project. The new single, vinyl 7" inch, printed in January 2007 in Jamaica and distributed in U.S., Europe and Japan by One Love Distribution INTL, side A: True Teaching (tune that gives the title to the album) and side B: Babylon is Fallin' (feat. Freddy G), it anticipates the album, out on May 2007 distributed by Good Fellas and published by Satta Records.
