The Chapman Swifts

with a lymon twist, a band not to miss

About Me

By infusing the elements of rock, folk, and funk, The Chapman Swifts have gleaned a musical style that piques the interest all who listen. These combined elements create fat, danceable grooves that are overlaid by the stylings of smooth, jazzy female vocals. Never without the ability to adapt, their songs can range from climactic and intense to mellow and soothing, making their tunes ideal and malleable for any venue they may play.
The Chapman Swifts were formed in the winter 2004. No strangers to the Portland music scene, each member had spent considerable time playing in and gigging with other local bands. Once together, The Swifts immediately began crafting their unique style that has quickly become a favorite around the area. It is not uncommon to see them playing to packed venues, with old and new fans alike dancing to the aromatic melodies.
With an emphasis on grooves and fun, they are a band not to be missed. Each of the five members individual style contributes to an amalgamation that is fresh and desirable. They are rock, folk, and funk with a lymon twist; a band not to be missed.
