These are a few of my favourite things: nut: cashew, potato: mashed, egg: fried, tree: silver birch, holiday drink: chocolate milk, animal: pig, cheese: brie but it gives me stomach ache so plastic foreign cheese in that case, alternative fruit: yoghurt covered anything or dried apple rings, sound: ricky gervais' laughter

i like a little bit of everything-this may annoy some of you but it is true. i don't claim to like every song in every genre-i like bits and bobs from all. if i was forced at gunpoint to say my favourite style i'd go for soul/motown-u can't beat it. i can't abide music snobbery although i will turn i blind eye where the snobbery concerns lyricless repetitive pill head BUM BUM BUM BUM type music. haha
too many. im a huge fan of fairytale fantasy type ones like labyrinth, the princess diaries, richy rich. adam sandler and jim carrey rule as does will ferrell. and although im keen on funny, non thinking films i am also a HUGE fan of subtitled and arty films: watch la haine and tsotsi-really amazing films. a few years back they had an 'indian summer' on channel four which gave me a love for bollywood films and yes i love musicals. i love everything really but don't expect me to watch tom cruise anymore or angelina jolie and brad pitt for moralistic/principled reasons. any films with dancing in them are a guaranteed hit with me. here is a list of some of the films iv already mentioned and some other of my fave films that i nicked from my msn space because i couldnt be bothered to think about it again:the shawshank redemption, the green mile, boys don't cry, liar liar, manequin, the film where that boy gets taken away in a spaceship for a while, ace ventura-1 and 2, clueless, the craft, leon, la haine, bubble boy, crossroads, amelie, barbarella, honey, flashdance, ghost, dirty dancing 1 & 2, strictly ballroom, muriel's wedding, bring it on, deuce bigalow male gigolo, zoolander, waterboy, little nicky, mr deeds, edward scissorhands, miss congeniality, practical magic, speed, show girls, girl interrupted, the notebook (if u want to cry watch it NOW!), forever young, save the last dance, labyrinth, never ending story, cocoon, big, my best friend's wedding, four weddings and a funeral, runaway bride (her character is just like me in this film-it's scary), american pie (only the first one), beaches, hocus pocus, natural born killers, beauty and the beast, the lion king, mean girls, the princess diaries, pretty woman, to wong fu, moulin rouge, chicago (prefer it on stage tho), my girl, cool runnings, the virgin suicides, stand by me, now and then, the rocky horror picture show, casper, the adams family 1 & 2, death becomes her, happy gilmour, the net, demolition man, super mario bros, anchor man, romeo and juliet (baz luhrmann), the beach, jaws, grease, saturday night fever, honey I shrunk the kids, don't tell mom the babysitter's dead, mary poppins, oliver, annie, singing in the rain, free willy, chitty chitty bang bang, powder, the longest yard, sister act 1 and 2, tsotsi, the ike and tina turner movie, the carpenters movie, forest gump, circle of friends, almost famous
green wing is amazing-surreal and funny-what more could u want? lost obviously, though sometimes it drags on and i want to shout 'get to the point/someone kill jack-he thinks he rules!' i know many ppl look at BB with distain but i absolutely love it. i love watching how people react in social situations, how they react to each other etc etc. and i love predicting how things will pan out. when i grow up i want to be a relationship predictor-i think that's my calling. anything that is funny. i like that 'come dine with me' programme though i don't often catch it.dan and clive lent me the box sets for seasons 1-5 of scrubs-i thought it was good when i watched episodes here and there but now i've seen every one in order...what can i say...splendiforously amusing

* my portuguese grandma alda. she still works at 76 and is so full of life. she knows loads of languages and jumps around like a teenager. and she's been through so much in terms of her sons and she has always been there for them. i hope i am like her one day.* my little bro lucas. he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him and has his own style which consists of weird hats and fake fur shoes.* my english grandma who is known as hilly (real name hillary) - she is probably my biggest hero at present and this is the reason: last year a few days before xmas my grandad (uffie-real name wilfred) died and we all thought she would go soon after from heart break. also he had taken care of everything-bills and whatnot so it was a massive shock to her system when she had to start sorting them out. and obv there was the biggest thing-having been with someone for 45plus years and then suddenly being left on your own. how awful is that?! but its nearly a year on and she's still going strong. she's doing loads of stuff-driving old ladies around and seeing friends and getting through it like an ultimate trooper. she is really immense. i know she misses him so much and has told me she hates living alone but just the fact she is doing it and seems to be in better health than she ever has been before makes her a big hero to me. i honestly don't know how she's done it.
