About Me

..
I am very sensitive, selective but also sensuous.Always trying to be a better human, taking each day as a gift, living fully every moment, being grateful to God for who I am and what I have.I was born in Seoul, Korea. I left my country when I was 19 years old. I studied with Saschko Gawriloff at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, Germany. As a. student I had a chance to play Bach double concerto in one of the small festivals in Danemark. After my diploma I worked for the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Geneva and Bernische Musik Gesellschaft in Bern, Switzerland. In the meantime my mother immigrated to the US and I became a resident of NYC. I have performed the concerto for violin and viola by Atterberg with Gloria Chamber Orchestra at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center. I 've had an occasion to play the chamber music concert with Dennis Cleveland at the Carnegie Recital Hall before his death. I have met many wonderful musicians in NY. While living there, I have worked for the ABT, the NY City Opera, Opera Orchestra of NY, NJ Garden State Opera, NY Virtuosi and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic as a freelance violinist. Currently I am working for the Opera de Nice since 1992. I love France. The language, the culture, the food and the people who have sophisticated minds, specially their 'savoir vivre'.

My Interests

Arts, Literature, Photography and Film. I like swimming, playing golf as a recreation and watching tennis. I also enjoy being with friends over dinner talking about everything and nothing.

I'd like to meet:

I like people who are well educated, confident professionals that have good taste. The most of people I adore live all in heaven now. But if I have to choose among those who are still on this earth, that would be Pop Benedict, Hilary and Bill Clinton, and my all time favorite tennis player Pete Sampras. I am here to make new friends as I don't have many here in Nice. .
