STACKERS

We are Fxxking Stinky Japanese Assholes!!

About Me

Stackers started out in 2004 in New York City by 3 Japanese natives Shun, Jun, and Tac. Within a year being together, the band released OneWayStreetPunk EP and has played a countless number of shows around the tri-state and New England areas. In Summer 2005, Stackers released their first full length On The Road With Stackers on Danger Zone Records and immediately went on a full USA tour. The tour ended in tragedy when Tac was taken into border patrol custody by guards on an interstate in Texas and deported back to Japan. Shun and Jun came back to New York frustrated and disoriented and spent months deciding whether to relocate to Japan or end the band. The 3 were more like family than just bandmates and wouldn’t wanna continue without eachother. In early 2006, as Shun and friend Joey Methadone(ex- Blackout Shoppers) were putting together New York Shitty Punk Rock compilation, and since the full length On The Road With Stackers hasn’t been released in New York(since the cd came out the first day of the US tour), the band decided to do a few last shows(recruiting friend Bancho on drums) in the tri-state area then relocate to Japan. They played their last shows in the Spring then left America
In the fall of 2006, Shun and Jun reunited with Tac and became a band again. Stackers are now based out of Tokyo, Japan and plays shows regularly. They plan to make a name for themselves in Japan, tour other countries, and hope to relocate back to New York City in the future.
