Hostile Takeover

Hostile Takeover is a five piece heavy metal band from Boston, Massachusetts. For several years now, Massachusetts has been the center of a thriving metal scene known as the New Wave of American Heavy Metal with acts such as Killswitch Engage, Unearth, and Shadows Fall emerging to take the national stage. With their powerful and melodic sound, Hostile Takeover is poised to take the next step towards metal greatness.
Hostile Takeover formed in 2004 and has undergone three significant lineup changes since that time. The original lineup included Matthew Freeman on lead guitar, Andy Terio on bass guitar, Ricardo Matos on vocals, and Kevin Raposo on drums. In 2005, Hostile Takeover added a second guitarist to their lineup in the form of “Big D” Dustin LaRose. Also that year, Andy Terio was replaced on bass by Sergio Vesquarano. In 2007, Sergio Vesquarano moved home to California and was replaced on bass by the talented Nate Donnelly. Around this same time, Kevin Raposo was replaced on drums by Berkley graduate Chris Oquist. Hostile Takeover would like to pay respect to all their former bandmates for their musical input and friendship. Now with a settled lineup and a strong following, Hostile Takeover is set to embark on their goal of total heavy metal domination!
Hostile Takeover spent most of the past year perfecting their already strong set, completing the recording of 'The Tie That Binds' and further establishing a strong local fanbase. The focus has now shifted to building on the foundation they have created for themselves within the local scene in Boston by spreading their sound further.
