She is a Newark native, born into a mixed Latin culture of Loja, Ecuador (father) and of Cataño, Puerto Rico (mother). Born in the middle of the raging disco era of 1975, Sarah enjoyed listening to the music of this era and was mesmorized by the stories she heard of Studio 54 (NYC), Paradise Garage (NYC), Club Zanzibar (Newark, NJ) and Cheetahs (Paterson, NJ). At a young age, she always entertained her family and friends with her smile by singing, dancing or reciting original poetry. Vocally trained since the age of 8 for musicals, choirs, operas and R&B, it was the soulful sounds of dance music she always loved. Her parents gave her an enriched culture through the arts and literature with the vast resources of the Renaissance City.She entered Essex County College (ECC) as a Music Education/Voice major. She loved the theatre and being in the limelight but Sarah was looking for a new creative challenge. While on campus, she became a part of the Fashion Entertainment Board. Under the influence of Larry Sanders, Gerald Holloway, Melvin Watson, Errol T. Claxton, Michael DeBradley and others, she emerged with skills from organization, production and theatre to graphic layout. She has coordinated numerous fashion and talent shows in the tri-state area. She has earned an Associate's Degree (AA) in Liberal Arts from ECC and is currently attending Kean University in pursuit of her Bachelor's degree (BA) in Communications focusing on Media Relations.Errol introduced her to Kris Flowers at a club called "The Spot" in 1994. Errol called her, "A flower who is ready to blossom". She often partied with Errol and Kris at Shelter Saturdays, Sound Factory Bar and other house music venues. In 1998, Kris and Errol approach her to be part of the staff for a private loft party. With this, "Rebirth" was born. Her dedication and hard-work brought another opportunity in 1999, when Kris ask for her assistance during the Winter Music Conference. It was a total new world for her, meeting DJs, artists and producers from all around the world. In February 2000, with the upgrade to the Yellorange website, Sarah became "the voice" to personally welcome people to it. In May 2000, she became part of the label's staff, doing promotions, assisting events, graphics and other projects. She has since ventured off in the summer of 2002 when Serena Calo asked her to become part of Newlite Muzik Management.In 2003, Dave Lalla introduced her to Carl Dupree. She did some graphic work for Phuture Sole and soon assisted with other projects for the label. Sarah has since joined the Phuture Sole staff as Label Manager.She is currently working full time at Design Factory NJ, Inc in Hillside, NJ and has also joined UC Music Media Group as the Artist Manager.
