About Me

Walk past the velvet rope, through the double-glass doors and you've entered the world of Dolce. By day the space serves as one of Elizabeth's finest Italian restaurants. By night, it's transformed into a New York style nightclub in the spirit of Cielo. In the front room, a DJ plays anything from down tempo to Latin music. For the proper club experience, proceed straight back through the double arch ways and to the right. Follow the bass of the thumping music. A one time Tony Humphries / YellowOrange Records protege, holds it down weekly. He also coordinates all bookings. Since joining, Tobon has really brought Dolce Lounge to the next level in terms of house music experiences. Tapping his extensive rolodex, the club has hosted a number of top DJs, everyone from DJ/Producer Harry CHOO CHOO Romero to the legendary DJ Tony Humphries and Louie Vega. Serving up some of the best house music and hip-hop for nightclubs in New Jersey, the cover charge is fair, drink prices reasonable and the dance floor massive. Double height arched ceilings open up the space. Elevated seating near the DJ booth provides an ideal vantage point to enjoy bottle service, or simply absorb the vibe. The dance floor is framed by six columns, each an inverted cone. The DJ booth hovers several steps over the dance floor, providing a sense of intimacy for both the DJ and the dancers. To the left, an out-door patio provides plenty of space to smoke or simply grab some fresh air. An elongated bar ensures there's plenty of space to quench your thirst. Besides the large dance floor, one of our favorite aspects of the club is the colorful lighting which provides a great backdrop to enjoy the music
