Temple Dynasty

About Me

From the earliest 280 West Featuring Diamond Temple projects, vocalist and songwriter, DIAMOND TEMPLE has had an opportunity to shine. His voice and lyrical sensibilities, are the hallmark of any project with his name on it. The 1994 single Love's Masquerade (Kaleidiascope Records) has become a classic in the dance genre. A year later, 280 West Featuring Diamond Temple recorded the gospel dance track Lift Him Up (1995 - King Street) - a treasured project for Diamond because it brought his mother, and other members of his family into the studio together. Diamond Temple left the music industry to tend to his familyhe refers to his family as his heart, his life. Diamond left the music industry to take care of his family but returned in mid-2003. He returned, with his brother and his daughters, to create Fly (2004 Phuture Sole). It met with much acclaim. The music was composed by the brothers Diamond and Da Noize. This family effort & this teamwork, are at the core of every Temple Dynasty project. It turned out that Mancuso had long been a fan of the absolutely classic “Love’s Masquerade” and invited the Temples to perform at “The Loft.” Meanwhile, Fly was in demand for compilations and remixed by superstar producer duo Blaze as well as by Felicia Temple. For a follow-up project, Diamond contacted his friend Al Goodman and asked if Ray, Goodman & Brown would agree to work with him. They agreed and “I Never Knew” was created. The Moses McClean production team collaborated with Diamond and Da Noize to create “Always” which came out on Soul Groove with a smooth and jazzy remix by Soul Groove’s owner, Shaheer Williams. Meanwhile, Da Noize and Diamond produced “If You Wanna Testify” for vocal powerhouse, Dawn Tallman. The Winter Music Conferences of 2005, 2006 & 2007 included performances at Barbara Tucker’s “And Let the Singer Be Heard” parties. In the interim, the Temple Dynasty, with their band, opened for R&B legends “The Main Ingredient,” brought in the New Year with Joe Claussell and performed at New York’s SOBs. Lose Control was the next project and the live version, released by Fuzion Records, features the full band. This project brought the Temple Dynasty into the studio of George Mena (Mena Keys – veteran of the SalSoul Orchestra). Over the past year, the Temple Dynasty worked with Phil Hooton to create “He’ll Give You Shelter” and with Chris Perez (formerly of Blvd East) and Louie “Lou” Gorbea (Omi Tutu Productions) to create the Temple Dynasty’s January 2008 release: “Keep Rising.”“Keep Rising” (http://www.deephavenmusic.com/index-1TD.html) features five mixes, all powerful, all soulful and sonically diverse; it was produced in collaboration with Louie “Lou” Gorbea and Chris Perez. Keep Rising is a song about uplift, a song of encouragement, a song for the heart. The Main Mix features the hypnotic keyboard playing of Chris Perez and the lushly layered vocals of The Temple Dynasty. The Euro Dub brings in a bit of nostalgia, invoking the heyday of Giorgio Moroder in the keyboards. D’s Dub strips everything down to a minimal tribal drive. The Classic Mix invokes the days of disco again, with its lush bass and keyboards. The Sunday Morning Mix takes the Temple’s vocals and serves them up over dramatic piano and organ lines, a downtempo gem.Discography (1994-2008 Love’s Masquerade (1994) – 280 West featuring Diamond Temple (Kaleidiascope) Lift Him Up (1995 & 2006) – 280 West featuring Diamond Temple (King Street) Fly (2004) – 280 West featuring Diamond Temple (Phuture Sole Recordings) Fly Remixes (2005) – 280 West featuring Diamond Temple (Phuture Sole Recordings) I Never Knew (2006) – 280 West featuring Diamond Temple with Ray, Goodman & Brown (Phuture Sole Recordings) If You Wanna Testify (2006) – Dawn Tallman (produced by The Temple Dynasty) (Slaag Records) Always (2007) – Moses McClean featuring Diamond Temple (Soul Groove) Lose Control (Live) (2007) – Fuzion featuring The Temple Dynasty (Fuzion) He’ll Give You Shelter (2007) – The Brooklyn Knightz (incl.
