If u could do anything what would u do? If u could be anything what or who would you be? If money wasn't an issue what pursuit in your life would you choose? These were the questions I pondered some 7 years ago as I sat in my small 5x5 ft cubicle in a suit and tie hating my job. Feeling trapped in what they call the "rat race", I felt that I was meant to be more in life. It was at this time that I realized that corporate America wasn't for me. In my heart I knew that I was on the wrong path, so with the belief that I can accomplish anything that I put my mind to, I got up from my desk and walked out of that office promising myself that i would never work at a JOB again. I decided to go forth and find my purpose. In our search for purpose (everyone has a purpose) we often times look everywhere to find happiness in life. We look to our jobs, we look in our various relationships with other people, we look in church on Sunday (if u bother to go) but finding purpose can seem illusive in this crazy ass world we live in. Ironically, your true purpose can usually be found in the last place u think to look, within yourself. At least this was the case in my experience. Looking back it all seems so clear. I've always excelled in art and have been either drawing, painting, or coloring ever since I was a toddler. My first mural was a crayon drawing on my mom's dining room wall. Despite the beating I received, I maintained my love for art. I even went as far as to get a B.F.A in art and design, none the less I denied my skills for a time and traded in my true passion for monetary gain. This left me feeling unhappy and unfulfilled. Now I realize my calling. I am a visual artist in every since of the word. When God created me he must have thought "I shall manifest myself as Able so that i can paint". After quitting my job and jumping head first into my art career, I discovered what it truly meant to be a starving artist. Taking every opportunity to display my talent, I struggled to fulfill my purpose, but after a year of roman noodles and sleeping in my car I slowly approach my breaking point. I was almost about to give up when i was introduced to airbrushing. For me an airbrush is the best thing since mama's sweet potato pie. Mastering this tool change my life because it allowed me to paint anything on anything, which is now my motto. To make a long story short I became a co-owner and artist at Fresh Air Custom Airbrushing and Painting. It's been on ever since. Here we specialize in visual creation and expression -only limited by your imagination which is potential unlimited.
