About Me

My name is Joseph Devine, hello! I am more hobo than boho these days.

Let's all write loads of shit about ourselves on the internet......and don't forget to take too many photographs!

Oh and also, LOVE THE EARTH, NOT YOUR COUNTRY!
Big up to the MUDDY REVOLUTION of Peterborough!

~*~*~*~*~

While you are away my heart comes undone
it slowly unravels like a ball of yarn
the Devil collects it, with a grin
our Love in a ball of yarn

He'll never return it
so when you come back we'll have to make new love
he'll never return it
so when you come back we'll have to make new love...

My Interests

FUN! And the having of fun, music, my amazing friends, the beautiful ocean (where my heart truly lies - I think), having adventures, dirty feet, festivals, raves, other wise known as, free parties, shin digs fi you will, coming up with things and making stuff and eing creative, LISBOA! MUDDY PROMOTIONS! Also awesome are those times when you're one on one with somene and you have the most amazing exchange and there's nothing you can't do and it's so fun and you truly connect, not to mention chai from AMT at Kings Cross after hard night's raving, books (not just reading them but looking at them when they are new and smelling them when they are old), swimming in the sea with the fishes and turtles and other seathings, NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL!, films that are good and make me cry or get nervous or excited or passionate or angry, travelling somewhere and then staying in that somewhere for long enough to become more than just a tourist, conservation of nature, conversation of humans, shopping for pretty things, sleeping after 50 hours of adventures, dancing with hundreds of people to beautiful music, all those beautiful boys, Athens, Paris, London, Mexico City, Crete, San Francisco, forests, writing stories (in my head as much as on paper - which doesn't happen very often), living in a tent for 6 months, talking to myself, running up that hill after morning survey to have tea and marmite on toast, helping baby sea turtles get to the water, watching big momma turtles slide out of the sea under the moonlight and watching them dig their nest and lay their eggs (I put my ear to the groud and nature tells me secrets), Paralia Glyka Nera, Samaria Gorge, L Beach and jumping off the cliffs into the sea there, singing along to all the words, stopping to look at things no one else sees, meeting new people and getting to know old friends better, looking at the sky, making up stuff with Liz, pushing the limits of good tatse as far as they can go with Joseph Rogers and seeing how fucked up we really are, WHIRL-Y-GIG, whirlygig, sitting on pillows round a table smoking sheesha with all my friends, going somewhere far away where no one knows me and starting fresh in the unknown, the usual...
I'll call my kids things like Theo, Elijah, Zion (but you can call me Zee...how cool?), Raphael, Gaudi, Paris, Anoushka, Delphi, Pelagia, Gaia, Wysta, sophisto-hippy to the core man!
I also really like THE GLASS ONION MUSIC AND ARTS COMMUNITY CENTRE on burghley road peterborough, my second home really
Things I DON'T like howvere are... weapons, money, capitalism, all the countries having armies to protect them from eachother (hello? no weapons = no threat), train fares (UGH), transparent myspace profiles - they make my screen spak out!, when unemployment stops being a novelty, cynisism, Answering machines - even if leaving a message for a very close friend I instantly turn into the most awkward mumbling fool on an answer machine, people who think I am childish just cos I view the world like a child, people who don't like Whirl-Y-Gig despite having never actually been to one, ketamin, nasty family politics, listing things I don't like (I don't think this is healthy, I;d rather talk about things I like. Liking things is nice...) erm... yeah. Negativity is bollocks too.

Life is shit-hot, but don't cross me or you'll end up on my shit-list, you dirty shit-eating shite-poke! All of those shit related words are in the dictionary, amazing!

I'd like to meet:

I prefer surprises

Television
"Where oxymoronic language like 'virtually spotless', 'fresh frozen' 'light yet filling' and 'military intelligence' have become standard
Where toothpaste and cars have become sex objects"

Spending 6 months in a tent up a mountain with no electricity kind of trained me off TV and now I just don't watch it ever. Imagine the culture shock I have when with a friend who has sky/digital. TV is mad. CLICK HERE for the truth about Television, as told by the Disposable Heroes of Hiphopracy!

Still, you get mad shit like this if you stay up late enough...
