About Me

If you'd like to help promote the show, you can DOWNLOAD A HIGH-REZ VERSION.

Esza Kaye is a singer/songwriter from New York, Moscow, London and LA. She is of Transylvanian and Celtic descent.
The music of Esza Kaye is Esza, Ming Vauze and Randy Emata. She made her debut EP I Wanna Die Loving You in London with Paul Freegard (Depeche Mode, Martin Gore) and her debut album Confessor in LA with Ming and Randy.
Always inquisitive, motivated by loneliness and alienation, at thirteen Esza began her leap into the lifelong quest for insight. The poetry and wanderlust began. The Hudson River flowed close by and took her with it; Esza ran away often. “Running away was hard work,” she jokes. “I didn’t get it right till seventeen.”
Getting it “right” left her broke and alone in New York City. Finding resolution and ambition in her solitude, Esza scrambled to finish high school, quickly learned the ropes of bare-bones survival, and decided that she could do better. In her words, “In the depths of illness and darkness, I turned my life over to music.”
“Music fills my soul, I feel empty without it,” she says. “I battled self esteem and confidence issues so I never believed that I could be a channel. But then when it felt like I was about to die and there was nothing left to lose, I was ready to take my shot. I think it was one of the key components in healing me. It brought me back to life.”
Her spirituality plays a significant role in the creation of her songs. “Performing music is a direct connection to source, an agreement to channel that source through your own body,” Esza explains.
Sexuality accounts for the other major element in these works. In Esza’s words, “My entire goal and purpose is to marry meaning and content with sex and fun. I believe that we can have meaningful ritual and content in our lives as well as scandalous fun. There is such a thing as ‘positive abandon,’ it does not have to be self-destructive. It's all about integration and communication.”
Esza plays with an ensemble of like-minded and passionate musicians whom she deeply respects. Esza says: "The live music rises to and unveils unimagined levels of depth, beauty and struggle. Hearing gifted musicians and questing souls interpret and create essence is a feeling of indescribable joy. One of my favorite ways to leave loneliness behind".
Get ready for a journey deep into soul with the debut album Confessor, and the debut of a new sound--aristo-goth. Esza's music strips away self-deception, and ushers in epiphany in such a way that the lessons manage to be both inconspicuous and eternal.
