I came to being on the 26th day of November 1970. That particular day happened to fall on Thanksgiving. As most of you know Thanksgiving is an annual secular one day holiday observed here in the great United States of America to celebrate being thankful. Traditionally, Thanksgiving is celebrated with a large dinner shared by among family and friends. I tell you this because, I believe the fact I was born on Thanksgiving day, where eating is a major part of the celebration is the beginning of my troubled youth. You see I was born around 11:00 a.m. following the birthing procedure and cleaning up process the nurse, ask my mother is she would like to hold me. My mother said that was fine as long as it wouldn't interfere with her ability to get the hospital's Thanksgiving lunch, which happened to be turkey. Clearly, the turkey lunch was much more important than a 7lb 11oz bouncing baby boy.
