REVIEWS
'Surfaced Unsigned'
Although Bassics had to play a short set because of a late band member, they still managed to entice the room with their heart-pounding bass and bluesy keyboards. Katie Brien’s glowing vocals were superbly sensual, giving the ‘neo-soul’ band a chilled-out jazzy aspect. Excellent keyboards by Jake proved the 2 year old band’s clear professionalism despite the members’ young age. The last song, illustrated by rapid lyrics and a rich bass, ended the performance with feeling.
'Remedy (Resident Soul night in Oh! bar, Camden)'
Our paths first crossed at the first A&R Future Showcases night last November. Since then we have been desperately trying to get this feisty young vocalist and her sensational band down for a performance and finally we are here. The Brit kids with style and quality for days be there.
