VELMA

Velma formed in July 2000 while at college and started writing songs playing gigs in local venues mainly suporting other local bands. They have continued to play the local pubs and bars and gathered a large dedicated fan base ever since.More recently Velma have played in a variety of towns and cities, including; Leeds, Manchester, Burnley, Halifax, Scarborough, Todmorden, Hebden bridge, portugal, Blackburn and London within the following months.A previous performance was in a Battle of the Bands competition at the Trades Club in Hebden Bridge, where they won the first two rounds to reach the last two of thirty-six established young bands in west yorkhire.There sound has a genre of Rock with Punk undertones.
