The High Class Elite played their first show on April 19, 2006 at NYC’s infamous underground loft party, Shindig! Since then they’ve toured with Iggy Pop and the Stooges, have been featured in Spin Magazine and on Myspace.com, and are scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza in August. Things are moving fast for these “Gutter-glam rockers†and the word is spreading. Their sound and style is reminiscent of early 70’s New York, a bit of Ramones and a bit of New York Dolls, but their music is unique and modern. Their live shows are frantic bursts of energy as frontman Franco V throws himself about the stage and eagerly interacts with willing and non-willing crowd members as the band efficiently and violently attacks each song. Shredding and steady dance rhythms create a sound everyone can move to. Accenting vocally and visually are the brilliantly sexy High Class Elite back up singers. It’s rock n’ roll like it was meant to be.
