About Me
I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
Based upon the novel by Michael Laimo, "The Demonologist" is a fiercely violent and scary work where men of the clergy have to rely on the power of Lucifer himself to destroy the workings of a powerful cult. "The Demonologist" was adapted for the screen by Greg William Stechman and art concepts, as well as make-up concepts, are presently being prepared by Jon Rogers and Lacie Oakley.

Michael Laimo (Author) Bio:
I was born 2/18/66. I'm 100% Italian. Work as a sales representative for a swimwear company in Manhattan, NY.
As far as writing, my first short story was published in 1994. As a kid, used to write Godzilla stories on loose leaf paper. Read all sorts of Hardy Boys and Tom Swift books, and had the Hardy's and Mr. Swift blast the pee out of Godzilla and his friends with the Atomic Earth Blaster I invented. Later, graduated to the Draculas, the Frankensteins, and such, and when I went to college, discovered the b-movie. It was love ever since. Fell for Clive Barker, King, McCammon, and kept on reading and reading and reading until I decided it was time for me to try my hand at writing (heck, I was published in the school newspaper, so I had to have some talent, right?) No way, man. Got rejected tons of times. Sure I got lucky and found my way into a few small presses (God knows what those editors were thinking when they read those awfully written stories). After finding cons, and then some friends who helped me hone my craft and discover my voice, I set out to write a novel. Never thought it would happen, but after one year had Atmosphere done. It's a Leisure book now. So I write for two hours a day, 5-6 days a week. I am an associate editor for Space & Time Magazine, and have edited Bloodtype, a hardcore horror anthology that was published by Lone Wolf Publications. I've had book reviews published all over, and even had the cover of Clive Barker's Imajica tatooed on my back (see, I am dedicated to my craft). Things I love: Music, progressive rock and ambient. My all time favorite bands are Marillion and FISH. I love Italian food, my family, Anna Rose, Emma Grace, collecting horror books (I have more books on my bookshelf than I'll ever be able to read in a lifetime). Michael's earlier novel "Deep In The Darkness" is being turned into a feature film by Writer/Director Greg William Stechman and Producers Jon Rogers and Lacie Oakley.
Jon Rogers (Art Director) Bio:
Jon Rogers was born in Roseville, California to two loving parents in 1975. He immediately started exhibiting signs of artistic interest at an early age,
as he would embellish the school textbooks (at his Christian academy) with stick figure violence and fantasy. Since then, he has spent a great deal of timein front of paper, canvas, potters wheel, and
computer, honing his skills as a dark illustrator.
Sharing equal responsibility for his style are comic
books, the Northern Renaissance, and German
Expressionism.
In 2004, Jon Rogers was handed a four-year degree in
Art Education from CSU, Chico, and immediately debated
on it being worthwhile. There was not much of a place
for art of his particular milieu in the button-down
world of graphic design. Skulls, gore, monsters, and
violence were not big sellers in the stationary
department, and it would take him several more years
to achieve the level of education to teach (or preach)
on the subject of art to willing (or unwilling)
students at the college level.
An advertisement for storyboard artist work appeared
on a popular work database, and Jon answered with a
handful of sketches. This has led him to many design
and art projects with the company to which he is now
part owner of, Burning Grounds Motion Entertainment.
Future business plans follow several paths, including
opening a small business catering to the art of
Printmaking, illustrating for role-playing games,
schooling to become a college professor, and opening
up an art studio co-op in the Placer California
foothills. Jon will be accompanied through this long life-trip
with his partner, and bride-to-be, Haley, a historian,
teacher, costume designer, and extremely beautiful
woman.
Lacie Oakley (Special Makeup Effects/Poroducer) Bio:
Born and raised in a small town in Northern California, but reside in whatever location I'm needed in at the present time. Since birth, movies made up a large portion of my life. I couldn't go where they made them, so I started making my own movies chasing my family around with a video camera at the age of six, and moved on to making everything from stop and go animation to documentary style shorts. At the age of seven I visited my first film set in a near by town and my mother always says that was when I made my official career declaration. I performed my own plays, poems, and musical stylings whenever I could until my mom finally signed me up in acting classes just before my ninth birthday. In high school I taught myself how to edit digitally using software from a DV Camcorder. The day after my high school graduation I left for L.A. to prepare for classes at the New York Film Academy at Universal Studios which started less than two weeks later. I attended classes between 50-70 hours a week doing side film projects with other students on the weekends, which is where I first started paying attention to make-effects and tricks of the trade. I had always loved doing experiments at home, but never looked too far into it. I graduated in February 2005 and continued studying and taking a few random classes here and there while auditioning and doing background work through Central Casting. In September 2005 a family member contacted me and gave me the number of her friend I had seen in a few plays and said he was looking for some help on an indepenedent film in Sacramento--Threading Over Dark. This is where I first met Greg Stechman and Jon Rogers. Originally I was to help out a few days off and on when needed, but, as always with film, things change. By the time principle photography began in early October, I was living on a family member's couch in Mid-Town, recieved a small role in the film, and became the assisstant make-up artist. By the second month of filming, I was the official Burning Grounds Bus and was heading make-up effects. After Threading wrapped in December I was preparing to move back down to my place in Southern California, but was asked to stick around and become a part of what is now Burning Grounds Motion Entertainment...and I believe that anyone who would pass up the opportunity to do so is absolutely insane.
