Dominique Young, a 22- year- old songstress has made a name for herself after her memorable debut on 2005 MTV’s Making the Band 3- Season 3. As one of the finalists on the show, she impressed the world with her rendition of Deborah Cox’s “Nobody Supposed to Be Hereâ€. Her performance drew praise from Diddy along with industry veterans such as Andre Harrell and Johnny Wright. Despite not being selected to join Danity Kane, Young’s motivation is fueled by her dedicated fan base which has grown drastically since the show. With over 22,000 myspace friends and close to 700,000 plays of her songs on MySpace, the anticipation of her return is promising.Due to contractual obligations it made it impossible for Young to seek deals with other record labels or management companies. Now a free agent, Dominique is in the studio with some of the industry’s most sought-after writers and producers, which include Ne-Yo, Eddie F., The Professionals and Herb Middleton.Young, a Bronx native, has had a passion for music from the moment she learned to speak.
