the furnace is the downtown montreal recording studio. located on crescent st, (yes crescent). the furnace is owned and operated by shawn (daFur) murray, (producer, engineer, percussionist, guitarist, and d.j) and with the addition of Ilya Pauly, (engineer, producer, teacher and d.j), the furnace offers a comfotable enviroment with a large live room, top of the line gear, great acoutics, kitchen, shower and lounge. affiliated with the afrokats record label, the free oxygen band and d.j kobal, the furnace and afrokats now have four 45's under their belt and in september is about to release their first 12" SOLID PLEASURE and KUTIMAN on 45. all vinyl avaliable at www.dustygrooves.com and soon at www.jazzmanrecords.co.uk for all you kats in europe.
