Well, I broke 100! Not bad for the first outing of the season!
Take a Peek in my Studio!
With so many Johns in this world I don't mind the "Illustrator" tag given to me by friends (not a full-time nick). What I do for a living (Advertising Illustration) is best when it's fresh and communicates an idea quickly. There's no time to labor over these so a frame generally takes about 2 hours. Don't look for any masterpieces around here. It's more about the sum of the parts getting a point across.
Oh, and there's also a downside. I have to work almost all the time, the deadlines are insane, "creatives" love changing stuff after it's done & I sleep on the floor of my office whenever I can!It is what it is but it sure beats working for a living!
I'm a bit of an overgrown kid with an overactive imagination. I'm lucky enough to have been successful in turning my passion for creating pictures into my career. If I would have applied myself more academically I'm sure I could have been a surgeon or scientist, but my I indulged my inner child as usual.
Check out the basement & studio I finished mostly by myself (a little proud of myself?). It's where I usually am Basement Studio
