About Me

Official Jenny Field Website
.  ---"I dream of painting and then I paint my dream"-Vincent Van Gogh-----My entire life I have been a creative. A creative who has always known my destiny....painting. I am a full time fine artist, muralist, and poet, jewelry maker...I do not create for a hobby. I do not paint as a whim. I create for living. I paint every day. When someone asks me how to live as an artist, I usually reply "get good at being poor, make friends with rice and beans" Its like that in the beginning, but, ultimately, it will come full circle. If you are willing to put your heart, soul, and mind into your art.Along with over 500 feet of murals painted since the year 2000, I have owned and managed a small antiques/art shop since 1992. In addition to my painting and running my shop, I taught art for kids at school district 544 in Fergus Falls, MN. Finally, I paint custom orders of decorative art (furniture and anything customers order)and I also do wholesaling of decorative pieces to gift shops. As of late, I have honed down my projects to focus mainly on canvases.---"If I could say it in words there would be no reason to paint" -Edward Hopper-----I have been called a colorist, a sensualist, an expressionist. I wear my heart on my canvas by painting feelings as subjects, experimenting with color, movement, shades of vividness and vibrant highlights, high contrast is important to me. I have a completely old school way of expressing. Paintings are done without a sketch, I paint what I am feeling at the time, working with rich oils, oils and wax, acrylics and structure gel. I am liberal in my styles, thats why its hard for me to describe any one style.---"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist when we grow up."-Pablo Picasso---Perhaps I never completely grew up, instead I have kept a positive attitude and childlike wonder, seeing beauty in the rawest forms, finding beauty in the purest moments. I am following my bliss.Layout made by
