Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

About Me

My life revolves around my family (my husband and two babies). When I have any free time on my hands I love my piano and tinkering around on it, painting on canvas, writing down the bizarre things that pop into my head and trying to sort them, reading anything I can get my hands on, singing (when no one else can hear me), going dancing with my girlfriends, anything active, and above all anything that will stimulate my brain enough to the point where I can sleep at night. I am a bit compulsive about things being in order, a bit of a control freak, and I'm very stubborn. I have a very good idea of how the world SHOULD work and it bugs me when it doesn't work that way. Luckily, my husband is stubborn as well, which means I am pushed every day to better myself, open my eyes to the world around me and hopefully one day come to grips with the fact that I don't fit the form of a regular 28 year old girl. But seriously, a wonderful husband, two healthy spunky kids, and a great group of friends . . . Could you ask for anything better in life?

I love walking in the rain, but only when walking aimlessly. I love conversations with strangers, a brief look into someone's head, where I can walk away and take what I have learned and grow. I love first kisses. I love dreaming and trying to contemplate them when I wake. I love music that moves me and sends shivers down my arms. I'm terrified of being alone, of being left, of trusting, of being let down. I love writing on my piano, but not playing for other people. My music is for me. I love singing, but not for other's enjoyment, just to get that part of me out there. I love painting and I could spend hours detailing the markings of someone's eyes. I love writing. I love complimenting random people on the street, for no other reason than I have found something spectacular about them that I feel needs to be pointed out. I love sleeping but there are never enough hours in the day to reach a level of well-slept. I love my friends and the variety of them, the fact that I could never put them all in the same room and have them get along because they all bring something to my life that is them and extreme and diverse. I can't stand dishonest people. I love reading and getting lost in another place. I love acting, where I can be anything other than myself for a time and wrap myself around their core. I hate being cold and I hate being hot. 75 degrees is the perfect temperature. I love the water and could sit and listen to waves for hours. I love a good fire. I hate lights in my house so my house is always dark at night when I'm alone. I have an addictive personality. Sometimes I think I'm obessive compulsive on a lesser scale. I like things to always be in there place. My husband likes to move things to see how long it will take me to notice it. I love playing with random children that I meet. I love the innocence of a child and the way that their minds work. I think adults should try to hold on to that innocence. I need to have a million things to do and can't stand to be idle for even a moment. I have a hard time shutting my brain off at night. It usually takes me an hour to fall asleep no matter how tired I am, because I have to think through the day. I can never leave a fight unfinished. I never lie, and if I try to I have to admit to it within 5 minutes or it eats away at me. I'm great at fixing other people's problems but I'm horrible at fixing my own. I can read a person the first time I meet them. I love the smell of flowers, but hate getting them. I love my husband and the fact that we force eachother to grow, although the growing proves extremely difficult for both of us. I love my babies and the fact that I was given them. I love Kylie's ability to love without cause but just because that is who she is, a lover of the world. I love my son for his fierce side, and his brilliance, his belly laugh, and the way that he challenges everything in the world, even though it makes every day difficult and sometimes impossible to get through. I use to think the world revolved around me until they came into being. My daughter and my son pretty much rule my life. Afterall, they are 6 and 3 and basically think the world revolves around them. :) My world revolves around the man who is daddy to them and the little ones who call me mommy. I love hanging out with my girls when I can get away, dancing, music, art, movies, having crazy nights (afterall I'm not old yet), and anything that involves breaking a sweat (lifting, running, walking, swimming. . . )

I enjoy many songs on the radio (even if I don't buy the cd). I can't stand rap music. Include the kids bop cds that I'm forced to listen to in the car and I'm all set.
