About Me

"Whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep your soul. With all its shame, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world..." ~ Max Ehrmann

My Interests

You name it... I love the sound of REAL laughter.. my mom has the greatest full-body-shake-the-table-everyone-turns-in-the-restaurant-t o-look-at-her-hyena-laugh in the world, completely and totally infectious! I love the smell of fresh snow, and the sound of the ocean.. I could sit and watch a fire for hours and hours and hours. I love to read and write... I crave music that makes me feel.. really feel.. I love singing ballads when I'm all alone in the shower or scared to death on stage... or playing the piano mindlessly for hours.. I know it's unoriginal, but I love "The Way I See It" quotes on Starbucks coffee cups... I have an affinity for bread-pudding (Marjorie's) more of an obsession really.. other addictions are swedish fish, and old-school malt balls... I love huge, black, bug-eye Chanel sunglasses and shopping for vintage clothing... I have recently adopted wearing a watch (for work) which I hate... I can't stand socks of any color, shape, or size.. or flat bed sheets.. or anything else constricting.. I wish I could live in flip-flops all year round. If I ever wear jewelry it's usually silver, chunky, funky and larger than life. I love opening the blinds in the morning and I'm always craving another home project... I'm spellbound when a man brings fresh flowers home from work on a random day... I love my mom's huckleberry pie. I love running in the "great outdoors", power yoga, spinning, soccer, snowboarding.. anything fun and active. I'm always intrigued with the way my little brother's eyes turn an enchanting aqua color in the summertime. I'm impressed when people follow their dreams no matter the cost... I believe in working at a relationship or friendship, regardless of how "unromantic" or contrived it may seem... I think true love is raw, real and beautiful in it's imperfection. I am a bit obsessed with David Beckham.. though I am madly in love with another soccer man. I love photographs of my great grandparents from 80 years ago, and the stories behind them. Scars are intriguing and always a good conversation starter..hmmmm.. I wish I knew how to speak french and fly a plane. I live for being flung around on an innertube in the summer time, there is nothing in life that makes me laugh harder. Hen bug and Smashly are the funniest people I know. I wish I could own one of those old-school black and white photo booths and let it document my life... I love the way life continues to lead me around like a lost lamb. I live for learning, trying, succeeding, failing, and learning more.. I have no idea where I'm going or what challenges life will bring me.. and I am finally learning to embrace "not knowing" and I couldn't be happier.. and lastly, I love Love. So there you go.. there's your "sneak peak" or the 1.0 version of me and my interests.
This is interesting...
