About Me

Props to DJ Kitten for helping me spruce up ye ole'my space page. I am a tuba and euphonium playing musician, an actor, an Ordained Interfaith Minister, student of Judaism and big baseball fan. I am currently in the process of healing from an arthritis condition which has limited my abilities but given me an incredible desire to be on a path for natural healing. This is going well as I am currently back in El Paso living with the Fam. Having just returned from India where I had ayurvedic treatment. As Hippocrates says "let food be their medicine and their medicine be their food." I strive for a yogic lifestyle. Being a baseball fan, my favorite team is the New York Yankees and has been since I was 5 years old, so please don't accuse me of jumping on any band wagons. When I moved back to the New York area (after growing up in El Paso, TX) in 1992 I went to 18 home games that year including a 3-2 victory over the Boston R!@ S&# on opening day; and that was before the recent dynasty. I am mostly a fan of the game and love going to minor league ballparks all across the country and will watch a game anywhere and probably keep a scorecard. As an Interfaith Minister I have had the opportunity to perform weddings, and a baby naming. I have yet to preside over a funeral but have helped in an unveiling ceremony. I am also affiliated with the Actors' Temple in New York City where I help Rabbi Jill in leading services and am kind of a rabbinic intern there as I have assisted in the High Holidays services the past two years, and will again this year. If you enjoy the music on this page check out the band Kiss Kiss as I played tuba on a couple of tracks for their album and loved contributing to such a cool project. I also have played in many freelance orchestras around New York and love orchestral tuba playing. I have been involved for the past two years playing the music for and acting with HonKbarK Productions residency at The Vital Theater in January and really enjoy being able to combine acting with tuba and euphoniumness. Last but certainly not least, I just had my solo debut at CARNEGIE HALL with the Coronado High School (where I graduated from in 1989) Orchestra as part of MidAmerica Productions. It was the best night of my life!! A dream come true, literally!! We gave the New York premiere of a piece written for this special concert called Coronado for Solo Tuba, String Orchestra and Optional Percussion. It is an awesome piece, it was an awesome night, we rocked, and got a standing ovation. A night I will never forget. Stay tuned for pictures and hopefully a recording soon. Most recently before India I spent two months living at Integral Yoga Institute in New York for one month and At Satchidananda Ashram Yogaville for two of the most blissful months of the year. Enjoy this video made by me and my friend Sam at Sivananda Hall at the Ashram.
