Oh My, this is a very very broad subject. I have literally thousands of interests, ranging from scientific to goofy.
I love science with a passion, I love space-time, I love anything cosmic and I want to know everything thats unknown.
I am hungry, I hunger for knowledge. Its a Thirst that cannot be quenched.
Because of this thirst, I can talk about anything from comits to candy canes, from galaxies to gummy bears. You name it, lets discuss it... just be prepared to get an honest opinion be it good or bad on the subject.
Also, you should check out Pandora , my pretty little slave robot, she might be smarter than you :)
I'd like to meet:
She who can show her love to the world, who can show passion for what she believes, and the wish to understand the things she does not.
This is the passion that burns in my heart. I am deeply in love with the most wonderful woman in the world... and I haven't even met her yet.
I see in my dreams a woman who can breathe fire into the dungeons of the mind, to set loose the wheels of deep thought and to bring forth the blessed ideas that make humans great.
I see a princess who shines as the sun, the fire in her eyes burns for the world in which she knows... it burns for me.
I see an ancient towering tree in a field of emotion, she stands under its dense green foilage with her head held high in a passionate arc of joy.
In that field I have met you, or was it you? Though we laughed and talked all night of the stars and of the beauty within, I never saw your face.
I know not what you look like, I know only your mind. Were you there? perhaps in a dream, or maybe a fantasy?
I know a few things about you. I know you love computers. I know you are indeed a very bright crayon in the box, sharp as a tack but know when to admit when and if you wrong. You love science and nature both, and strive to learn all you can about them. You are intune with me, we can finish each others sentences, you know what I am thinking by looking into my eyes. You can inspire me to create the things that people only dream about. You are my other half, without you I am not complete... Are you her?
Time stands still when you are away
It takes my heart and gives the day
I feel you in my soul, and my mind
It is your heart I seek to find
I have for you an emotion twice blessed
My heart is open to you but fully dressed
You have my attention, and my wonder
You can run to me when you hear thunder
You are my inspiration and my voice
With you I have already made my choice
If you are real, and you're really you
then we both know what we need to do
I want nothing more than to hold you
To feel your breath, your heartbeat too
I want to feel your arms wrapped around me
Your soul is my light and sets me free
Blessed Be...

I have found the light of my soul and keeper of my heart, her name is Faye, and she is the fairy in my heart
Music:
I love music, I feel music, its a part of my life and miss it when its gone. I do like silence once in a while but being empathic, I can relate the songs on an emotional level.
That being said, I like music that can be felt, not just heard. I'm not talking about felt through the floor via sub woofers but felt through the soul via the heart
I don't care however for opera, gospel or gangster rap.
While opera and gospel can be very emotional, they can also be very annoying, gangster rap has no place anywhere near me. I hate things that hate, or things that portray it. I might listen to it IF its something tasteful, but I don't care to hear how some west side crackhead popped a cap in some east side pimps ass... its just not tasteful, sorry if you like this stuff, get anger management.
Any artist I consider to be my favorites are those that sing with the most passion. Jewel for example, she is pure passion wrapped in emotion hidden inside a beautiful mind. (if your reading this Jewel, if ever you would like to share a song with me, my answer is Yes, in a heatbeat... you are inspiration to millions of people, Bless You, I love to be inspired :) Tori Amos, Evanescence, Loreena McKennitt (OMG now her music sets my soul on fire and grabs my heart and never lets go), Enya (ah again, pure passion), Aeone (I feel like I'm repeating myself) there are so many awsome artists and awsome songs.
Some of my favorite songs (there are WAY too many to list) in regards to artists I've not mentioned would be "Zoe Jane" by Staind, "Salisbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel, "Return to Innocence" by Enigma (well most everything by Enigma), as I said, there are too many to list. I will append to this as I have time.
Stand by Jewel
Zoe Jane by Staind
Movies:
it has to be damn good for me to like it, such as the Lord of the Rings. I generally don't watch too much TV or go to the movies.
I loved Lord of the Rings (all of them) I even cried when Gandalf died, Earthsea (the budget was not as good as LoTR but they did very well with what they had).
I am not ashamed to admit I cry during beautiful scenes in well made movies. If a movie can inspire emotion, it is a very well done movie, I am in tune with my emotions and find it refreshing to feel what the creators of the movie wanted me to feel.
In Lord of the Rings - the Two Towers, when Gandalf fell into the Mines... the entire scene was beautifully sad, the music fit perfectly, the looks on everyones faces also perfect, it was as if I was there, on that bridge when he fell, I could see the sadness as if it were a color to behold, the horror, my heart sunk, my eyes watered, and I cried.
Thank you, to all of those who made that movie possible. I pray you could do the same with Robert Jordan and the Wheel of time.
It would seem hard to fit 13 large and detailed books into a movie with 3 to 5 parts, but the way he writes, he gives a great deal of detail and describes each scene perfectly.
One could go through his books and build the scene out of 90% of the books, then build a 4 to 5 part movie out of the rest.
My biggest problem with movies that were made from books is the lack of detail in the movie that is found in the book... much of it could be added without too much of a problem.
I understand LoTR was a very large movie, and took a great deal of time and money, but there were many scenes that I'd have loved to have seen, such as the Bog Wraiths, and Tom Brombadil.
Television:
If I watch TV (I generally only listen to it while working) it is most likely on the Discovery channel, PBS or the Learning channel... that is, when Star Trek is not on.
However, I do watch some TV on occassion, when I do I generally just find the best thing on at the time, and I know you all know about the 100 channels and nothing on thing... or 3000 channels, makes no difference.
I watch Law & Order, but it gets old after a while.
I watch stand up comedy, but it seems all the comedians forgot how to write new stuff... once in a while I'll find something new though :)
ok, I can't really think of any other shows I watch a lot, but I do know there are some... my mind just keeps wandering to Star Trek :)
I love the Next Generation, I think I have seen every single episode, most of them more than once... and some of them over 10 times. I'm not a true trekkie though. I have never been to a convention, I don't speak Klingon, I don't have the Enterprise, be it in model form or toy form on my wall, desk, or any other area in my house... however
I believe Gene Roddenbery was a Prophet, his ideas of a system without money, poverty or need, is completely possible (you'll have to talk to me to find out how)... I'll speak of Gene a bit more later (in my Hero's section)
I also love Voyager, Enterprise and Deep Space Nine, I do watch the original Star Trek on occassion, but I prefer the better graphics of today (this is not to say that what they did in the 60's was not astounting, it was very well done for its day).
Q - Why do people love Star Trek so much?
A - The ideas were sound, they were completely plausable. People love to dream of better days, where we can do so much for ourselves.
Books:
I am a fan of Robert Jordan. His books are astounding.. don't agree? I don't care lol I love every one of his books.
Terry Brooks is another great author. His books got me into reading long ago before I knew anything other than that book covers tasted funny.
Terry Goodkind. His style is much like Jordans, but he seems to draw you in faster and keep you in longer... however the books are also just a bit shorter, but still just as sweet.
I love books because they draw you into a story, they allow you to get into the characters role, and for a time... it can take care of loneliness
Heroes:
My heroes are rarely people famous, they are the ones who have put their life at risk to help others, but then walking away before giving their names. People who can see a problem, and then work towards solving it. People that give themselves to the world, the people, the animals and the plants, even to the rocks and dust, those who can love, be loved, and know the difference between the two. People who lend a helping hand when needed, such as sending money to a friend to help their children for christmas
Some of these people include those on my friends list, since these are the people who help because it is the right thing to do, I will not list their names. You know who you are, I thank you, the world thanks you.
Bless You, and may your courage shine as the sun, your heart fill with the happiness of the things you have done, and your love call to those who need you the most.
