Welcome to the world of the Wasted Little Djs…..
They are not just some record company gimmick but are real living blondes, who actually are clever and usually wasted…..does anyone dance like them?!?!?!?!
They consist of Karlene and Charlene, two hairdressers from Dundee, who started djing after they found themselves and their friends being banned from every indie disco in their hometown and many others. They decided to do something about it and so the Wasted Little DJ gang was born. Members, including The View, all wear Wasted Little Dj bangles.
Soon the dastardly duo had blagged their way into doing their local music venue, The ’Doghouse’, where their friends were just starting up a band. At last Dryburgh had somewhere to party!!!
Everyone’s two favourite girls are famed for their outrageous style, behaviour and dancing which makes most bands love having the party girls at the front of their gigs.
Dubbed indie Paris and Nicole, they have an immense passion for music which ranges from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Larrikin Love, Blondie, The Libertines, The Jam, Elvis, Lily Allen, Joy Division, The Specials, Madonna, The View and so on!
Now the wasters are Dundee’s very own Club NME resident djs, occasionally throwing parties for after- View gigs or just for the sake of it.
