The Billy Autry Band had been together since the summer of 2005, and the last few years have flown by. In that time, the band has done in excess of 150 shows, and continues to perform every weekend. By some strange combination of luck and talent, the band gets to do what they love: playing music to packed honky tonks all over Texoma, and hopefully one near you soon.
Billy Aughtry has been singing since a very early age, and in bars since his early 20's during his days in the United States Army. Over the course of his musical career, Billy has shared the stage with the likes of Mark Chesnut, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson. His vocal control, knowledge of thousands of songs and command of the stage make him a great front-man for any group.
Bo Aughtry has been playing guitar for close to a decade. He "got his chops" playing traditional country with Billy at festivals and a handful of oprys. Through the years, his taste has expanded to blues and rock- which is apparent in the way he handles his instrument. Bo enjoys movies, candlelight dinners, and long walks on the beach.
Austin Lewter began playing drums at the age of seven and as a child followed his father (a fellow drummer) to the honky tonks of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma as a child. Austin has worked with numerous artists, including Mark David Manders, Max Stalling and Eleven Hundred Springs and attributes his "pyscho-traditional" country style to the blues influences of touring with Jesse Moreno and The Little Jesse Bluez Band.
