Susie Taylor

I am a Traditional Country singer with a passion for the music. I began singing as a young girl, with my family as the audience and a vacuum cleaner nozzle for a microphone. The long journey continued when I walked on to my first stage at the Carrollton Country Opry. From that moment looking back was never an option. Over the next few years I honed my skills at numerous other Opry venues around the state from Grapevine to Texarkana and everywhere in between. On the road I gained more than experience I gained a reputation as a great vocalist with a stage presence to match. My humble nature and ability to connect an audience also brought her me a loyal fan base as well. I truly love the people. This culminated with back-to-back awards. First ‘Coast to Coast Country’ magazines Female Vocalist of the Year followed by Female Entertainer of the Year the following year. I have also been featured in both the Dallas Morning News as well as The Irving News. I will never forget where I came from and marvel that people come to hear me sing. In 2004 hard work paid off big when I was asked to open for Clay Walker at Gilley’s in Dallas for the Charlie Foundation. The show also afforded me with a radio interview with KSCS 96.3 during rush hour drive time. I have also performed at the Main Street Days in the Ft Worth Stockyards, Garland Main Street festival and the Raines County Fair. I am also finishing up my debut country music CD and have been approached to begin a Bluegrass one as well. None can say what the future holds for me but I hope it will be bright. I am currently in the studio finishing up my debut CD that will be titled 'Just a tear away'. Hope to have it done soon.
