About Me

DJ Teague on MySpace Aquarius: February 18th Both my brother and I are aquarius (his bday is the 2/16). Adventurous, curious, flexible, idealistic, humanitarian, independent, innovative, intuitive, loyal, original, resourceful, sociable, spontaneous.Born and raised in Idaho, moved to Seattle area after university, and then to San Josel, California Son of a teacher and electrician, I quickly learned the art of working for what i wanted, and not just sitting by on the sidelines!

My Interests

Where do I start...Aww yes. DRINKING!
The Seattle area has turned me into a Vodka
consuming whore! But I can honestly say that
I drink it straight typically!

Music (of all genre's), Computers (UNIX, Mac, PC),
Networking, Deejaying, Dancing, DRINKING VODKA,
Building Custom Staging For Concerts, Clubs, & Raves.

I'd like to meet:

Frederick Douglass, if he were still alive today, other than that...pretty much anyone else.

Music:

I am a deejay who plays house and breakbeat, but I enjoy all music! Music especially 'punk-rock', gets me through the day. The past nine years DJ Teague has made his mark across America. Known for unbeatable technical mixing and scratching abilities he earned his place in the electronic music scene. His abilities allowed him to play along side some of the biggest DJ’s & groups in the world such as Richard Humpty Vission, Bad Boys of Breaks, Joey Beltram, Andy Farley, and Anne Savage. I grew up listening to a lot of Jazz, and Blues so I think that has had a huge impact on my deejaying.

Movies:

First and foremost, "The Shining" "Star Wars" ( all of them), "Hard Boiled" (the best Chow Yun Fat Movie Evere), almost any Sci-Fi... any movie that involves the death and/or dismemberment of the innocent, Hong Kong Kung Fu Flicks(Jet Li, Jackie Chan, etc.), "Scarface", "LOTR", "Matrix" Trilogy, "Hackers",

Television:

Is responsible for controlling the population by creating fear amongst the populace! Kill your television!

Books:

I seem to have an obscene fascination with any Star Wars book. But I can say that I also have quite a few books like Canterbury Tales, The Iliad, etc. I also like "The Life & Death Of Adolf Hitler," "The Black Arts," and "La-Bas." Right now I am reading books on the Knights Templar, and other secret societies. Other than that...it's all computer books, networking info that i have needed for work.

Heroes:

My big brother and father mostly. Dan Benson: A former Marine, he has the best work ethic of any one I have ever known! He worked extremely hard to show my brother and I how to be good, and upright men. There will never be anyone I will honor more than my father!
Jake Devere: Producer and DJ, Jake DeVere, has been providing soulful and uplifting dance music for crowds along the West Coast for over ten years. Beginning his craft in college, he and a friend managed a college radio station in Spokane, Washington. Together they pioneered a new sound through the live mix show House is Home. DeVere's next step was to open a dance club in Spokane called Club London that became the biggest house club in the city. This unique venue managed to provide an outlet for many local DJs to be heard, as well as showcasing National talent. Jake's first forays into LA were at clubs such as House of Blues, Sky Sushi, The Wonder Bar and Wank, promoted by Steven Melrose, owner of record label, City of Angels. Through DJing, DeVere was able to hone his production skills by assisting the already established artists, Static Revenger, author of Happy People, and Pete Lorimer (29 Palms) who is currently in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most number one remixes by a single producer. After touring the US with Richard Vission, the two went into the studio to produce the Solmatic Records release "I Said". Following I Said, Jake released a number of remixes including Stevie Wonder's Another Star, The Toyes' Smoke Two Joints, and remixes for The Cooler Kids and Static Revenger. 2003 saw DeVere join remix forces with Raul Campos of KCRW's Nocturna and Power 106's Powertools. Together, as Brothers Behind the Light, they've remixed numerous artists including Jill Scott, Angelique Kidjo, Iffy, George Sarah and Bob Marley. They are currently slotted to release their first compositions featuring The Supreme Beings of Leisure and F.A.M.
