The music of Prologue is based on a need to express something about the
world around us - something about it´s beauty and fragileness, about the
hopes and fears connected to it. As an indie rock band, their music has
sometimes been described as alternative, but here the word alternative
does not equal to complicatedness. The music of Prologue is about the
sincere interpretation of the songs.
The sound of Prologue is largely based on an intense interplay between
piano and guitar. It could be described as being organic and it´s supported
by a strong and inventive rhytmic section.
In the year 2005 the band released their first official EP called "Stars
are Holes in the Sky". It was warmly received in music media; desibeli.net
considered it to be one of the best finnish EP´s in the year 2005 and Rytmi
loaded high excpectations on Prologue´s first full-lenght album. The band
played a good amount of gigs for the EP and they´ve continued to perform
live - though mostly in Helsinki and Espoo.
