"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." ~ Calvin Coolidge

I am one of those folks that only knows the chorus of a song, but I still love music!! I wasn't allowed to listen to the radio till I was a freshman in high school, so I am still exposing myself to all sorts of different music. My FAVORITE would have to be The DOORS and PATSY CLINE, then there is Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Aerosmith, The Eagles, Shakira, Nelly Furtado, John Lee Hooker, Miles Davis, Garth Brooks, Dixie Chicks, JT, Del Castillo, Patricia Vonne, El Chingon, Los Lonely Boys, Alejandro Sanz, Franz Ferdinand, Johnny Cash, The Buena Vista Social Club, The Brazilian Lounge, Manu Chau, Black Eyed Peas, PCD,Eminem, Nickelback, Madeleine Peyroux, Etta James, Godsmack, Lynyrd Skynyrd. I am also liking James Blunt, The Fray, and Fallout Boys and now Ben Lee thanks to the awesome Greys A Soundtrack. OHhh, I am LOVING Michael Bubla, thanks for that recommendation Eric.
Favorite movie of all time would of course have to be The Godfather...and then from there, my taste is all over the map!! Godfather II, Silence of the Lambs, The Usual Suspects, Tombstone, The King of Masks, Schindlers List, Sin City, El Mariachi, From, Dusk till Dawn, Pulp Fiction, True Romance, SNATCH, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Fight Club, The Transporter, Bourne Identity and the Bourne Supremecy, The Matrix, The Goonies, Casablanca, Bridget Jones Diary, Love Actually, Oceans Eleven, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, SIDEWAYS, Gosford Park, Lonesome Dave, Gone with The Wind, Waking Ned Devine, Sense and Sensibility, City of God, All About My Mother, The Audition, Pushing Hands, Eat Drink Man Woman, The Devils Backbone, The Thin Man, Garden State, Dazed and Confused, Crash, Trainspotting, Wedding Crashers, About a Boy, Chasing Amy, Jersey Girl, Seven, The Devils Own, Hoosiers, The Shawshank Redemption.
GREYS ANATOMY!! Need I say more? LOVE IT..did not think anything could ever replace my beloved "FRIENDS".
Some of my ALL time favorites...read Godfather, Lonesome Dove, Gone with the Wind..(dare I say they were BETTER then the movies...yep). Of course love Robert Rodriguez's Rebel without a Crew...FUNNY!! Loved the Da Vinci Code...i did some pondering after reading that one!! Even though some think it can be classified as fiction now, I read A Million Little Pieces and yes, I still like it!! I will read anything by Dean Koontz. I am currently reading Kevin Smith Speaks and Freakonomics..so far so good. Another very good book is Lance Armstrongs My Journey Back, its not about the bike. After reading that, you will never complain about another workout again!! Next on my list is Hud and then Marley and Me(my favorite and last dog was a black lab named Blackie..can't bear to replace her just yet.)
My Grandparents and of course Robert Rodriguez!!
