My Interests

one of my current large intrests is the the electronic music scene. i am a dj which is an expensive intrest, but i've never considered dance music as a waste of money. simply put, that is what it is there for, to dance. i'm currently under the production company Pan-Optic Productions out of St. Louis, MO.

i've been working on tracks for a couple of years know and still learning a lot about musical composition. i hope to be producing tacks in the future under the alias Nuhrii. along with the music i enjoy the art of dance and movement; liquid dance, liquid pop, i would love to learn more different types of dance, structured and non-structured.

I'd like to meet:

.. Erez Aizen and Amit Duvdevani. There is alot to say about these two amazing artists. i heard their second release in early 2001, only about a year after it was released, and i was hooked. the album was one of the first classical music inspired trance albums that i had come in contact with and since then the duo has had my attention and my feat movin. i am sort of a IM phreak. here is a short background.Erez Aizen was born in 1980 and has early musical training: he learned to play the organ at the age 4 and started studying piano in the Haifa Conservatory at the age 8. At age 11 he started toying with computerized music, first using Impulse Tracker, later moving to more advanced musical composition software. By the age of 18, Erez had collaborated with DJ Jorg and other notable psytrance artists, and had released 3 albums and a multitude of tracks under different psytrance acts (including Shidapu and Shiva Shidapu).Amit Duvdevani was born in 1974 and has a similar musical background. He played the piano for 9 years, starting at the age 7, before taking a turn towards heavy metal and punk rock. Amit played keyboard and wrote most of the material for a local Haifa punk rock band known as Enzyme. Amit went to his first trance party in 1991, a week before conscripting to the Israeli army (where he was first nicknamed Duvdev). He has more than once described this experience as life changing - from that time onwards all he could think of was trance music. After he finished his conscription, Amit spent a year in India (primarily in Goa), and finally decided to make music himself. He collaborated with a member of Shidapu on 4 tracks but never actually released them.In 1998, Erez and Amit began playing together. At first they released a few tracks as Shidapu & Duvdev. These tracks were 'happier' and of the simpler side of trance. Later on, they formed the duo Infected Mushroom and started working on their first album. The name Infected Mushroom was chosen to commemorate a disbanded punk rock band of the same name, which Amit had admired and used to play with from 1989 to 1993.

Music:

for the electronic side of things i listen to genres ranging from a mix of trance, house, techno, and breakbeats. be it my favorite, full-on Psytrance; percusive, dark, atmospheric, groovy, peak hour such artists as Infected Mushroom, Cosma, GMS, Shpongle to name a few. experimental; IDM, digital glitch, drill and bass, old-school electro, and trip hop such artists as aphex twin, squarepusher, amon tobin, autechre, gift culture, leftfield to name a few. breakbeat; nu-school, electro, florida style(miami bass), and progressive such as artists smithmonger, Dave Berg, Infiniti, Jackyl and Hyde, Lee Combs, freestylers, soul of man i could go on and on. house(rather new to me); real techy with breakbeat influence, acid-house, some deep; progressive and tribal such artists as Cass, square-one, Woody McBride, wintersun, josh Wink to name a few.i grew up on classic rock Zepplin, Floyd, Hendrix, the who, neil young. in early highscool it was hard rock and heavy metal Rage against the Machine, fear factory, slipknot. now it is everything from dance, jazz, rock, classical, and the ever so amazing styles on Jam rock with such artists as GD(of course), Phish, the Disco Biscuits, Umphrees McGee, Tea Leaf Green, medeski, martin, and wood, Les Claypool, this list could be endless so i'll stop here.
.. What kind of techno music are you?
