About Me
Born and raised in Richmond,Virginia. Happily married to my wife Jenn and we have a beautiful daughter!
I am big into NASCAR racing, and have my own NASCAR art business called Trace Art Group (www.traceartgroup.com)that I run with my wife. I am the artist for the company.
Also taking time to hang with my friends at Southside Speedway where I have served as the announcer on and off for 9 years. I began announcing at age 16 at a local dirt track and look up to Allen Bestwick and Joe Moore as my commentary heroes. I also have played in over 20+ local bands. By far the most fun was playing with my Bro's Patrick and Jeff in Step Away Inc. I dig attending live rock shows and my favs' are Godsmack, Foo Fighters and LIT.
I like to hang with Lit whenever they come around; they are the most down to earth true "Rock Stars" I have ever met.
Which that list includes Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Bruce Kulick, Eric Singer (90's KISS), Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters) Eric Brittingham, Jeff LaBar, Fred Coury (Cinderella), all of Quiet Riot, Warren DeMartini, Bobby Blotzer, Stephen Pearcy, Robbie Crane, John Corabi (Current tour of Ratt), Brent Muscat(Faster Pussycat), Skid Row (Without Sebastian), all of Foghat, Robbie Merril, Shannon Larkin (Godsmack), Paul Geary of Extreme and as I stated before LIT, Jer, A. Jay, Al and Kevin my Brother from another Mother!!
If it sounds like I am bragging...I am...Just kidding, but they were all very cool!!
So now I have met all but 1 of my major influences on bass. I have an autograph and have traded emails with Pat Badger (Extreme) but hope someday to actually get some face to face time with him as well.
As far as 6-string Ace Frehley made me want to play and Warren DeMartini was the man who made me decide to learn how to tune a guitar. Hanging with him this summer has be a life high light. Others for 6-string include Nuno Bettencourt, George Lynch and John Hazelwood.
Through the many bands I have been in I have let the inner rocker out, and many people helped me do so. Like the first guy I ever jammed with Dave Eisler. I also played in or sat in with many other bands and friends, like Teazer (thanks to Danny, John and Lin), Gypsy (thanks to John, Earl, Jeff and Paul)and even a Prince cover band. All of these of course are local Richmond, VA bands. Also, I can't forget Aaron Tate, who later got to tour the world with a band called Blonz, he was in a line-up of LOOKER. I also rolled with SLANT, RIFF RAFF, STEEL GIN, DELZIN'S SON, BIG JOHNSON (with David Johnson and Mark Sharp & Greg) and a few others. Most of the band mates over the years are represented in these pictures (like Chip Barden, Jammie Hatton, Brian Manns, Bob Sadtler, Fred Toney, Jim Dent, Brian Williams, Chic Burcham, Patrick Blanks, Jeff Watkins and Jon Greenfield) so if you are not, sorry, and in some cases if you are...sorry. I thank every one of these people for their time and dedication while we did play together!
Enjoy, and everyone keep on rockin'!
