Influences: Stompin Ground is comprised of four members; Rick Benson (vocals), Danny Mizelle (drums, vocals), Dave Runner (bass) and John Hazelwood (guitar). SG is an original music band throwing in a few choice covers, although they have many in the pocket to pull from. They also take some old tunes and rock them up a bit which is awesome.All four of these men are talented musicians. They can individually impress you, but collectively the energy and emotion they bring to the stage is exhilarating. Their style while not completely southern in nature lends itself to that genre but with a little more Rock in the mix.They love to play music and it shows, their goal as a band is to bring quality music to the Central VA music arena and win over a crowd one person at a time. All of the members grew up in and around music as you can see in their individual bios. They all have different backgrounds in music and each brings that style to the table when writing.See you soon!!!
