A world where the unending pursuit of Peace is ongoing amongst it's leaders efforts, especially during times of active conflict.
Why? Many reasons, but here's a simple one: We live in a time where our technology; nuclear, biological, nano and more, can quickly and easily trigger our extinction unless we, as a species choose to move ourselves, with each generation, further and further away from accepting conflict as a choosen means to resolution.
Many great minds have cried out for this evolution, and here are a few of them...

"The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem." - Gandhi
"The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral, begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy. Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it. Through violence you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth. Through violence you may murder the hater, but you do not murder hate. In fact, violence merely increases hate. So it goes. Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction.... The chain reaction of evil — hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars — must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation." - Martin Luther King
"You should be the change that you want to see in the world." - Gandhi
"May the conscience and the common sense of the peoples be awakened, so that we may reach a new stage in the life of nations, where people will look back on war as an incomprehensible aberration of their forefathers!" - Einstein
"What is the therapy for this planet, and for us? First, as physicians, we must shatter people's psychic numbing. (Editor's note: Pushing back an important issue into our subconcious rather than dealing with it). It is inappropriate for any person on this planet to be psychologically comfortable in this day and age. As the psychic numbing is shattered, people will enter the phases of the grieving reaction. This then motivates individuals to become active in doing something about the problem. The anger can be very profound. It is therapeutic to do something, it feels better. We must also deal with our own dark side and stop projecting it like children onto other people and stop blaming other people for things we ourselves can fix and for which we are responsible." - Dr. Helen Caldicott
"We will not learn to live together in peace by killing each other's children." - Nobel Peace Prize Recipient, Jimmy Carter
