“What I want is to open up. I want to know what’s inside me. I want everybody to open up. I’m like an imbecile with a can-opener in his hand, wondering where to begin – to open up the earth … and then we’re all going to see clearly, see what a staggering, wonderful, beautiful world it is.”
-Henry Miller
"Drop the idea of becoming someone, because you are already a masterpiece. You have only to come to it, to know it, to realize it."
-Osho
"In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer." -Albert Camus
"The enemy isn’t Conservatism. The enemy isn’t Liberalism. The enemy is bullshit. -Lars-Erik Nelson

My Interests

Every waking moment, especially dreamy ones. Following bliss. Making 'em dance; turning people on. Movin' and Shakin'. Breath. Laughter. Breathless laughter. Showering the people I love with love. Earning respect, not assuming it. Listening (more than talking). Asking questions. Poetry...anything written that changes the world. Naps. Breakfast in bed. The Art of seduction. Body heat. A fine wine. Camp fires. Quality over quantity in all things (except $$$), and especially women. A long sigh after a productive day; a well-deserved yawn. Scrabble and backgammon fanatically. The color red. The number 3. Being the same person with everybody, regardless of where they stand on the foodchain. Not judging people by what they do, but by who they are. Actions, not words. Being a Man. The scent of a woman in Love. The inner confidence of a well-sexed woman: her walk, especially in heels. The orgasmic explosion of Love in all it's forms. The scent of fine oils, my Amber, and Musk. Keeping promises ... Being honest. Bubble baths with rubber duckies; soaking in the tub until wrinkly. Old people (Wise ones, not crabby). Children (wonderous ones, not spoiled). Overcoming fear. Embracing the unknown. Diving off the deep end. The ongoing, Wow.
"I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger than reason. I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go."
-Anais Nin

I'd like to meet:

You.
"The only ones for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a common-place thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes 'Awww!'"
-Jack Kerouac
Who else I'd like to meet:
Me.
"My heart is an unset jewel Upon the tender night Yearning for its dear old friend The Moon. When the Nameless One debuts again Ten thousand facets of my being unfurl wings And reveal such a radiance inside I enter a realm divine. I too begin to so sweetly cast light, Like a lamp, Through the streets of this world. My heart is an unset jewel Upon existence Waiting for the Friend's touch. Tonight My heart is an unset ruby Offered bowed and weeping to the Sky. I am dying in these cold hours For the resplendant glance of God. I am dying Because of a divine remembrance Of who - I really am."
-Urban:Siddhartha
Who else:
My maker.
"I sent my Soul through the Invisible, Some letter of that After-life to spell, And by and by my Soul returned to me, And answered "I Myself am Heav'n and Hell."
-Omar Khayyam

Music:

"On with the dance! Let joy be unconfined; No sleep til morn, when Youth and Pleasure meet To chase the glowing hours with flying feet."
-Lord Byron
'A secreting turning in us makes the universe turn. Head unaware of feet, and feet head. Neither cares. They keep turning."
-Mevlana Jalalauddin Rumi

Heroes:

The hero within; the potential for greatness we all possess. Anyone with wisdom to realize greatness can not be achieved sans humility. Selfless people. People who love unconditionally. The one and sometimes only one you can turn to when the sky is falling. My saviors I can count on one hand (you know who you are). Those of us dug deep in the trenches on the front lines, fighting ignorance, apathy, stupidity, bigotry, idolatry, intolerance, injustice, egomania ... falseness on every level, even within ourselves. All the soldiers of bliss storming shores from sea to motherfuckin' shining sea: Land Ho Bitches!
"The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you; Don't go back to sleep. You must ask for what you really want; Don't go back to sleep. People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch. The door is round and open. Don't go back to sleep."
- Rumi
