Perkov is a living example of how passion, combined with determination and hard work, can make dreams come true. She’s gone from the receptionist desk at New York’s legendary “Electric Lady recording studios,” (once the private home/studio of Jimi Hendrix) to producing a documentary short on the financial plight of working musicians (working title: “Rock of Wages”), while acting as Personal Assistant to the Star Trek Estate for the past six years, and working closely with Majel Barrett Roddenberry, Gene’s widow. There have been, however, a few notable stop-offs along the way. Perkov, studied film post-production at Paramount Studios, thought by Paul Haggar, as well as, a UCLA extension class for “Music Supervision for Film and Television thought by G. Marq Roswell. Perkov, continued her education of the Film Industry when she first moved out to Los Angeles, while working as Personal Assistant to Dyan Cannon (actor) and Dan Perry, (Movie Title Design) who praised her as “conscientious, reliable [and] easy to be around,” as well as “always going the extra mile”. Perkov, also worked as a production assistant; for Scott Rudin Productions within his New York, Manhattan office and on location during the productions of “Marvin’s room,” “First wives club” and “Ransom.” Prior to that in NYC, Perkov, had the privilege to work for Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager (Founders of STUDIO 54) when they first decided to go into the Hotel Business, it was an opportunity Perkov remembers fondly and a great learning experience it was. One of Perkov’s fondest memories of growing up in Manhattan was the inspiration from the city it self. It was a wonderful childhood filled joy, culture and always, everyday brought new lessons, “I received the gift of being open to learning.” During the early 90’s Perkov, studied the Music Industry Business at The New School of Social Research with “accounting genius” Bert Padell, of Padell, Nadell, Fine, and Weinberger & Co. Bert Padell, is one of the most successful accountants in the entertainment industry. His roster includes the likes of Pink Floyd, Russell Simmons, Lyor Cohen, Madonna, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Alicia Keys, Brittany Spears, and Mary J. Blige, Joe DiMaggio, Lou Panella, Carl Banks and many, many more.
