Underwater Pilots is an electronic duo from Hamburg/Leipzig, germany. Manuel G. Richter and Gregoire Vanoli create a blend of electronic pop with subtile darkness and trance elements.
Their first cd “Tranquil Places” was released 2004 by RepoRecords (ger), VanRichter (us) and Soyuz (Russia).
Underwater Pilots did re-mixes for Anne Clark, Funker Vogt, Implant, Dope Stars Inc and others.
Greg and Manuel have a classical musical education but both were fascinated by electronic sounds, so in the end they switched over to electronic completely.
Manuel is well known in the international experimental scene under the moniker Xabec. He co-produced Anne Clark..s latest album "The Smallest Acts Of Kindness".
Greg is a professional in 3D animation and computerfilm, he is working as a freelance producer and teacher at the School for Audio Enigeering (SAE) in Hamburg.
