Born and bred in Torontos Regent Park, a district stigmatized as one of the roughest hoods north of the border, Tre has only known survival and has proven that he truly is the fittest.

His name is an evolution itself. His name, which was given to him by his peers and fans has evolved over the years. It started out as Treasure when he was making moves on the basketball court once his rap style hit the street Treasure was skimmed down to Tre, and when the masses caught on they realized he had a nice flow. A fitting name for this young rapper, agreed by anyone who has heard him, Michael Hayes is Tre Nice.

What started out at an early age as a pass-time has become a reality for this talented, unique and motivated rapper. I love music. I rap about whats going on around me. Its how I live, its a struggle. My music touches a lot of people. It touches them cause I spit the real. Tre doesnt sugar coat or spit lyrics of fantasy. He keeps it real and always reps where hes from which is why hes making serious noise in Toronto and is ready to take off and bring his raw energy to an international level.

Raised by his Grandmother, brought up in a household that strictly listened to Gospel music, Tre first fell in love with Hip Hop at the tender age of 13, a time when the Tupac, Biggie, LL Cool J, and Snoop to name a few, were having fun telling stories - being real, repping their hood having a good time and getting paid. This introduction to Hip Hop as Tre's back drop combined with his natural talent and humble upbringing makes Tre Nice's style fiery, fierce and fully loaded. Hes a dynamic lyricists who prides himself on keeping it real and doesnt shy away from any topic. That why he has the masses eating out of the palm of his hand they can relate.

Growing up in this concrete jungle Tre has been through it all; during his hustle he had his music to keep him going. His first dose of notoriety came as a freestyler and a battle rapper. Tre was with a group, YNS Young Niggas Survivin for a short while where his passion for the game grew. The group dismembered after a short stint and Tre pursued a solo career and honed his skills as the razor sharp MC that he is and finally hooked up with life long friend Banks, President and CEO of Startin Line Up.
