Nick Riva began his musical journey using many musical influences & quickly developed his own musical style, giving him the opportunity to showcase this by playing clubs across the UK. His musical style to date weaves through a fine selection of house music taking on a journey into more electronic sounds & some house classics always looking for ways of layering records in a unique way.
He has played alongside names such as DJ/Producer Arthur Baker famous for his studio work alongside many major label artists including New Order & Fleetwood Mac. Nick has held club residencies in Manchester playing alongside many names on the circuit. He has been booked to play at a number of exclusive parties across the UK including private parties for the cast of the movie "Twenty Four Hour Party People" a movie based around Factory Records owner Tony Wilson highlighting Manchester clubland.
Nick has recently completed extensive courses in Audio Engineering/Music Production taking his musical involvement to a new level as well as producing his own material. Over the last few years he has been recording, producing music & engineering sessions for a variety of bands & artists, presenting them with a professional finished product.
His projects also include working with industry standard Digidesign Pro Tools software for music production, as well as post production writing music for picture including Dolby Digital surround sound format
He is currently stepping back up on the dj circuit in the UK with some future bookings coming up in the US very soon. In addition to this he has showcased some of his DJ sets on American internet radio station "Transmission FM" broadcasting direct from Los Angeles USA & around the world . Nick is currently showcasing his DJ talent each month seamlessly working through a solid mix of House, Progressive, Electro & Electronic music.Nick has been busy in the studio taking time out to work on his own musical ideas, musical projects & a constant flow of remixes & is extremely excited to have some music up here soon.
More recent news for 2008 sees Nick hosting his own Dance Radio Show "House Sessions" on www.manchesterradioonline.com. He will be playing 2 hours of the best new house music around broadcast every first & last Friday of the month from 7 - 9 pm UK time.
