Bio of M.C
Coming straight from the banks of the muddy Mississippi, emerges an up and coming artist from the Northside of St.Louis named M.C. A late bloomer, M.C always knew he could rap, but never took it seriously until his senior year in high school when he was put to the test. M.C. had battled one of the schools top lyricists and released a verbal assault, forcing his competitor to bow his head and walk away. After winning the battle and gaining respect as well as motivation from his peers, M.C. considers this victory as the most inspiring moment in his music career, even though he doesn't consider himself as a battle rapper.
M.C has released two underground albums accumulating 10,000 units sold throughout the Midwest and the South. His latest effort, “Still Grindin‘, Still GlowinԠ, released in June of 2006, featured M.C's Blazin’ Single, “Pull Up“, which created a buzz in St.Louis as well as other cities in the United States, lead to M.C being featured in one of the largest parades in St.Louis alongside with national recording artists such as Chingy(Capitol records), Jibbs(Interscope Records), and Huey(Jive Records). M.C recently opened as a Headliner for “The Derrty DJ’s†album release party presented by DJ AJ, which M.C featured on. M.C has appeared on numerous mixtapes around the U.S. from DJ’s such as Sir Thurl of “The Core DJ’s†from St.Louis, MO , L Boogie of “The Core DJ’s†from Milwaukee, WI, Skno of “The Core DJ’s†from Dayton, OH, DJ 618 from Ill, DJ Bishop of “The Hittmen DJ’s“ and Ron C from Detroit, MI, . Recently, M.C appeared on BET’s “Access Granted†with Chingy for the video shoot of “Dem Jeansâ€, and is also featured on his upcoming Mixtape released through Slot-A-Lot Records.
The new single, “Get It Crackinâ€, has began to heat St.Louis market with radio and club play, and is guaranteed to be a hit for the 2007 summer. M.C has also had on air interviews with radio personalities Queen IsIs Jones, DJ Cub/DJ Cuddy (The 120 Mixxtape), and The DeeLee Morning Show, all from 100.3 The Beat. M.C feels he brings to the table a different flavor of music from St. Louis, with his own distinctive style. M.C has also been featured on local TV shows such as, "Audiophobia", "Phatt City", Indiana’s Music Channel(IMC) and R&B wit a touch of Jazz, which has gotten great response locally, and BET’s UnCut. "He just takes control of the audience with his electrifying performances," says Young Dipp of Hott 104.1. Writing rap after rap, performing show after show, and support from Peers and family is what keeps this hungry artist motivated. Check out
