I believe sleeping in on Sunday beats going to church, that intelligence is good but street-smarts is better, that laughing when you aren't supposed to is the best, that sometimes you just have to make the first move, that there is no explaining physical attraction, that people who constantly tell you what they believe in are very insecure of their beliefs, that babies are often not very cute, that I will probably always look back on the previous year and say, "What the hell was I thinking?" that if you are gay/female/any minority/poor and are a republican you have truly missed the boat, that if you don't vote you aren't allowed to voice your opinion on politics or the state of the country, that being mature is not a sign of personal advancement, that confidence is excellent in a person but no one can keep it up all the time; I believe that if something's not right, it's wrong and think that bumper stickers are a good venue for self-expression; I believe that you should always have high expectations of everyone you meet, that if you don't offend people on occasion you probably aren't being honest enough, I believe that if you are afraid to be alone you don't really know yourself, that people who are anything but happy when they get drunk shouldn't drink, that once in a while I will hit it out of the park, that what I think I know doesn't hold a candle to what I hope to learn, that picking up hitchhikers isn't as dangerous as you think, that you have to stand up for what you believe in regardless of the situation, that we should all figure out who we are and live it to the fullest, that sometimes you just have to dance, that charisma is underrated, that cussing like a sailor doesn't make you a bad person, that pirating drinks is legal and is a good way to meet new people, that my friends and family are the most important thing in my life, that carrot cake should never have raisins in it, that self-improvement is important but much harder than it looks, that everyone should reserve the right to contradict themselves, that if you aren't who you say you are then why bother saying anything at all and that sometimes you just have to say "fuck it" and eat yourself some candy.
