Silverbug started out in February 2001, Stockholm - Sweden. After many hours in the punk-rock cave, where the band is stationed most of the time, they decided this band was worth all time and energy they had. With the line-up consisting of Chris N on vocals/guitar, Von Home on lead guitar, Han Sola on bass and the hard hitting girl Martha on drums they felt ready to record some songs. It led to the demo “Cold Songs & Faith Woundsâ€. After that demo followed a couple of demos, but it wasn’t until they released the demo “No Fists, No Guns, No Bullshitâ€, a real punk/rock fist in the face, things started to happen. They got more gigs, they got many good reviews in Swedish music magazines and were played on Swedish national radio. The release of “Foolish Earthlings†was just like more gunpowder on the fire. The reputation that Silverbug was a dynamite live act led them all the way to Germany a couple of times, and performing on German Radio. A lot of people got in to the explosive 2-minute songs that Silverbug deliver, and so after kicking ass in 3 years time the Swedish record company Straight On Music got interested. In 2004 Silverbug signed a 3 album contract. After a little time they finally had the right producer, Max Lorentz. Recording sessions started in the summer of 2005. Silverbug recorded 16 songs, 14 of them made it to their debut album “Your Permanent Recordâ€, released in January 2006 in Sweden and April 2006 in the rest of Europe. “Your Permanent Record†got great reviews everywhere. Now Silverbug is doing everything to get out and play in front of their fans in Europe. Han Sola left the band in 2006. The new bass god is Oliver Vowden. With an aggressive way of handling the bass Silverbug is once again complete. New songs are created at the moment for next kick-ass record.
