Tonites forecast: 100% chance of rock and roll

About Me

The Drones began their aspiring career in the world of rock and roll in late 2005, when Mark Bellomy (rhythm guitar and vocals) and Bill Robinson (12-string guitars) met at their place of employment in Huntington, WV and started jamming and playing out at Sharkey's open mic. In February of 2006 they met up with bass virtuoso Travis Harbour, meanwhile playing out at Sharkeys and the Monkey Bar to thrilled and ecstatic crowds and fans. They have auditioned a bevy of drummers...until finally meeting up with powerhouse drummer Jason Clark, a veteran of the Huntington music scene. Clarks drumming has been compared to Moon, Starr, Watts, Bonham and even Ragbaby Stevens and GeneKrupa. The Drones are currently working on original material for an upcoming as of yet untitled LP, and having taken a trip up north to Brooklyn, New York, they played at the famous Magnetic Field to a room packed with Drones fans alongside fellow psych/garage wonders Thee Mindshots. The boys are already creating a buzz about them, drawing comparisons to great rock acts like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, so be sure to be on the look out for this up and coming rock 4 piece, if you enjoy good music. We posted songs from some of our practice sessions. They're guaranteed to make your special places tingle...so beware!!! We recently had the single "Again", released on a compilation album by Quickstar Productions. The album is a benefit for ""PCS", a form of liver disease. Contact us for details on how to purchase your own copy.
