Going through the office we found an old dv tape which had this short film about us on it! It was made by a group of students from Plymouth college of Art and Design and features our 6th Birthday party way back in 1999. The live band we had at Plymouth's Dance Academy was Desco Records' The Soul Providers featuring Sharon Jones (the band is now known as the Dapkings).Ah what memories, it was an amazing show with the venue stuffed to the brim with around 1000 people all freaking out for the funk. The Soul Providers were really paving the way for the rise in nu-funk and had the sound nailed. Gabe Roth is a genius basically.
