All I've Got Left Is Stems & Seeds

About Me

Tom recently completed his first solo CD entitled "Mixing Metaphors". These songs are Tom's best work yet. Musicians such as longtime bandmate Jason Crosby (Robert Randolph, Susan Tedeschi, Oteil & The Peacemakers) and drummer Jeff Sipe (Phil Lesh & Friends, Jazz Is Dead, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Leftover Salmon - et. al.) lent their considerable talents to make this a truly memorable recording.

Tom Donovan was the founder and driving force behind Freudian Slip, a NJ based jamband. From '92 through '97 Tom was a member of Solar Circus. Solar Circus was called "the hottest thing to come out of the Northeast since Phish" by North Carolinas Mountain Times. A hectic touring schedule of over 200 shows a year coupled with numerous appearances in Relix Magazine brought his songs and voice to the attention of the countless legions of Grateful Dead fans via three CDs on Relix Records.
Tom has performed in forty states and Europe. At San Francisco's Warfield Theater, New York City's Irving Plaza and just about everywhere in between. Vogue magazine dubbed his song Stems & Seeds "the stoners anthem" and it has been used in the sound track of the motion picture "Tie Died - Rock & Rolls Most Dedicated Fans". Bruce Springsteen has performed with Tom on several of his songs. Tom has also worked with members of the Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead, God Street Wine, Joan Osborne, The Spin Doctors, Widespread Panic, The Band, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Hot Tuna, and Steve Forbert, among others.

Tom is now performing with Splintered Sunlight.
