Jilted were formed in 2005 and since then have come along way, what started as just a mess around between friends has turned into making them the most exciting band in Kilkenny - Kilkenny People.
Jilted consist of David Crilly (drums) , Kevin Broderick (Guiltars,vocals,samples,synths,programing) , Ciaran Wood (guitars) , Maeve Murphy(vocals) .also with Paul Egan drumming on some recorded tracks .
Jilted's self-panned songs can be described as a blend of techno, rock, alt, electronica, the musical cocktail and the energetic powerful live Jilted act comes from combing Kevin’s electronic creations, catchy powerfully rectified guitar riffs and patterns, spacey lyrics with the thumping beastly aggressive acoustic and electric drum beats of David Crilly, then slapped together with the intense wavy unique power of Woodys insane guitar playing, riffs, licks, and pumping cords, all of that then juiced up by Maeves sweet sounding, haunting vocals . Jilteds first gig was held in the famous Cleeres theatre in Kilkenny, They showcasesed 8 of there own songs and got a brilliant reaction from an appreciative audience, Jilted were described by the audience on the night as being powerful, unique, and very likable. Music for the ‘Jilted Generation’ Jilteds next gig was in the widows pub in Kilkenny ,Jilted packed the upstairs venue in The Widows and went down a storm. The band got a great response and are fast becoming a well-established band - Kilkenny Voice.
Since then Jilted have played in The Zoo Club Kilkenny at the the launch of the BodyShake dance night , and supporting Cowboy X, they have played Kilkennys best venue The Pumphouse countless times, Headline and supporting Noise Control, Blue Ghost etc , they have also played Eammon Doran’s Dublin, Whelans Dublin, Radio City Dublin, Eddie Murphy’s Thomastown, Music Factory Carlow etc. Jilteds most famous gig was The Pumpapalozza all day concert help in The Pumpouse Kilkenny downstairs on the main stage ‘I saw Jilted yesterday they were fucking amazing, im absolutely gob smacked, band of the day, no contest, SUPERBO ! The band that came next stole the show from everyone … They were called Jilted' - Kilkenny People.With countless fantastic gigs under there belts , an album recorded , there single "The Social Life" doing well before its bein released , there songs on radio stations around Ireland , and with more gigs in the pipe line Jilted are proving to be a band with a bright future - Kilkenny Voice."Here are some more gems you may or may not know about ......
