Remy

Formerly known to the world as Richard Martin, Remy is a Dublin solo artist. In late 2004 he released his debut double A side single "Don't Take Your Eyes/Holding On" which Hotpress reffered to as an "impressive start to a promising career for this Dublin songwriter". His music can be described as a solid mix of alt country, folk & rock backed up with a powerful & ambitious voice, emotional melodies and a hatful of unfeigned, down to earth lyrics. Influences stem from artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, Sigur Ros to name but a few. After a two year wait in the wings, Remy is now currently writing, rehearsing and soon to be recording new material which is sure to make an impact in Dublin and beyond in '07.
