My Interests

Arts & Entertainment

I'd like to meet:

All the best New England artists - we cover dance, theater, music, visual arts, literature, dining, and much more.

Visit us at www.motifmagazine.net , or if you're looking for coverage, e-mail Jim Vickers at [email protected] .

Some tips to maximize your chances of getting coverage:

  • Give us plenty of notice. We come out twice a month, on the first and third Wednesday; to get into the first Wednesday's issue, for example, you'd need to get to us no later than the previous Wednesday, and ideally, two weeks before the publication date.
  • Give us real news. Are you playing a special show, such as a large benefit or festival or showcase? Are you coming out with an album? Have you added a new band member? Does your theater have a new show opening? Do you have an upcoming exhibition?
  • Send us cool photos. We're always on the lookout for good promo and live shots of R.I. and Mass. performers. Specs: JPEGs preferred, 5x7" at 300dpi; Web-quality photos or blurred shots won't work.
  • Introduce yourself. Even if you don't have any news to report, we'd like to know you exist, and what you do. Every Motif issue features a wide range of local artists; if you're on our radar screen, we'll be more likely to feature you.

  • Looking forward to hearing from you!
